Everything You Need To Know About Facebook’s Business Update

Facebook is the biggest online social media and social networking service in the world. Facebook is great for users who want to stay in touch with family and friends, and it’s even better for business owners who want to advertise to a larger audience and connect more easily with customers.

Various algorithms and rules will change how and when users see particular ads. With these formulas in place, organically coming across painstakingly created advertisements can sometimes be difficult. But if you’re looking to target a specific audience through paid advertisements, Facebook is a great platform to work with because there is so much information about users.

Regardless of how you want to use Facebook to market your business, it is a very successful tool.

The best way to utilize this tool is to understand how it works. Recently Facebook made a few updates that will impact marketers. Here’s everything you need to know about Facebook’s business update.

The results are in for Facebook Business’ third quarter, and they are reporting 6 million advertisers. That’s double the amount of advertisers last spring. If you’re wondering where the majority of these ads are, you’ll find 88 percent of them on mobile.

Moving forward, marketers and advertisers will need to keep a few things in mind. First, the price for Facebook ads has increased and likely won’t be decreasing anytime soon. This not only means that you’ll have to do a little bit more planning and budgeting when you decide how to do your advertising with Facebook, but you’ll want to do everything in your power to make the higher cost worthwhile. You’ll need quality advertisements that can stand up to the competition. You’ll also want to make sure you’re closely monitoring the success/failure of your advertisements to determine whether or not the high cost is worth it.

Facebook is also working to improve ad transparency for users.

Users will be able to view all of the ads running on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. This can be a benefit for advertisers because their ads may be seen by those outside their target audience. The improvement on transparency means Facebook users will be able to search archived ads, see the total amount spent, see how many impressions were delivered, as well as demographic information on those reached by the ad.

There are also four new tools Facebook has implemented making it easier for marketers to reach out to their target audience.

But not just any audience… these tools make it easier to reach similar people who live in different parts of the world and even speak different languages. The Dynamic Language Optimization means a single ad can be produced to feature multiple languages, facebook then publishes the ad in the appropriate language based on the user.

Lookalike audiences can how span multiple countries (rather than one per country like before) and with Multi-city Targeting, Facebook now lets marketers choose the population size they want to target and they will automatically target the people in the appropriate cities.

Lastly, the International Audience Finder helps marketers find other countries where they will likely find success.

These are just a few of the Facebook Business Updates. To get the most from your ads and marketing efforts, be sure to continue to follow any future changes.
